I have two children, a busy toddler and an older child who we consider to be our outdoors man.  Our first child was diagnosed with Cri du Chat syndrome.  He taught me compassion, patience, and an admiration for children.  Through my experiences I began to take an interest in helping other children with special needs.  I worked as a developmental therapist and service coordinator.  I never stopped being amazed by the development of young children.  We became concerned about how we would be able to handle our son as an adult.  he would bang his head on the wall and on us.  After our family discovered behavior modification therapy, I be came interested in helping other families transform their relationships with their children.  My son not only stopped his outrageous behavior, but he learned to communicate, walk, and play with other children.  This was life-changing for the whole family.  He can now attend regular classes and participate in sports activites.  I received my graduate certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis through Penn State.  Now, I work with children and families of all ablilities on behavioral issues in the home, school, and community setting.
