My role is to help you see new possibilities for your family, to aid you in defining and executing new strategies for success, and to provide the structure and support we all need to make change stick.  

Your role is to stretch yourself in new ways, to be honest and candid about your successes and challenges, and to believe that while it will not always be easy, change is possible.  Consultation is about you!  Through your changes your family can grow.

Initial Intake:  Free

This includes: 
     - Explanation of my services
     - Collection of a family history (Getting to know you!)
     - Identification of primary behavior problems (if any)
     -A brief consultation and family challenge so you can see how consultation works.

There is no obligation!  Try the challenge.  If you like the changes you see happening call me.  When you are ready we will design a program to meet you goals and desires.

Individual Consultation:

This includes:

·         A customized, researched-based parenting program designed to help you and your family.

·         Meeting times and location where you are most comfortable.  (This is not a clinical-type service.)

·         Programs ranging from weeks to months, including sessions that last approximately 1 hour.

·         Printed materials, websites, suggested reading and additional resources.

Parenting Workshop (5 or fewer couples):

This includes:

·         Three to ten 90-minute sessions will introduce a new concept to build life-long relationships with your children.

·         Group challenges and open discussions

·         Discounted rates on future services

·         Pre-arranged training programs, or open program designed to grow with the group.

·         Printed materials, websites, suggested reading and additional resources.

Large Group Training (more than 5 people):

This includes:

·         Introduction to a predetermined topic of your choice, varying in length from 1-4 hours.

·         Continuing Education Credits in the field of Social Emotional Development

·         PowerPoint presentation

·         Activities, videos, and printed materials when necessary to enhance learning.

·         Websites, suggested readings, and additional resources.

Behavior Planning (in cases of severe behaviors):

This includes:

·         Observations and recording of behaviors.  (What are they doing and why?)

·         Research and development of a customized behavior plan for your family.

·         Consultation and review of the behavior plan with the family. (How can we work together?  What roll does the family need to take?)

·         Follow-up observation and weekly phone calls as necessary. (How is it going?  Where do you see improvement?)

Additional Services:

·         Education Prep Programs:  Intense one-on-one interventions.  Children will be taught new skills such as making eye contact, following directions, making choices, communicating yes or no, and other classroom readiness behaviors.

·         Developing additional plans for your family as your child develops.  (What needs work now?)

·         One-on-on work with your child on alternative behaviors when the family desire a more hands-on approach. (Let’s learn what else we can do.)

·         Training of additional people who work with your child (teachers, therapist, sitters…)

·         Development of “Social Stories”.

·         Social-Emotional Program Development

·         Curriculum Development

·         Any other services.

·         OTR will also advocate for your child during an IEP, agency meeting, or court trials.  Prior knowledge of the child and a functional behavior assessment are required.

Each child is an individual with their own unique needs.  Therefore each plan will be custom designed to work for your child and your family.
